As the chief law enforcement agency in Rankin County Sheriff Pennington and his deputies are committed to ensuring the safety and well being of the people in the communities they patrol everyday. Thus the safety of Rankin County teens is a priority for Sheriff Pennington. That’s why when word began to spread about the Collision Avoidance Training program, Sheriff Pennington was the first law enforcement agency in the state to look into setting up the program in the State of Mississippi. “Crashes, injuries and deaths involving our kids has always been an issue of concern and when I looked into this program I knew we could not afford to not have it.” A dedicated and highly trained group of deputies provide the instruction that continues to receive ratings of “Excellent” on their evaluations.
